Cruquius 1.3
Unique textile Design Inspired by the Normandy Coast
For an exclusive apartment on the Cruquiuskade, we designed custom textile elements that combine craftsmanship and personality. The living room curtains were hand-embroidered, inspired by the Normandy coast with its oyster beds and shell banks. The delicate silk embroidery creates a refined, airy aesthetic, adding a sense of tranquility and natural beauty to the space.
Additionally, in collaboration with Knots Rugs London, we designed a bespoke rug based on the Fringe collection. This rug, crafted from wool and silk in white and orange tones, is part of the Knots Rugs Artist Collaboration. It blends a Scandinavian color palette with luxurious details, including silk fringes.
The other rooms were styled with throws and cushions from various collections, creating a cohesive and inviting interior. In the hallway, we designed coat hooks in the shape of hands, for which molds were made from the hands of the client’s children. These personal elements, executed in custom-mixed colors in collaboration with Studio JAAF, add a playful and unique touch to the home.
Studio JAAF developed the overall interior design, seamlessly integrating modern elements with artisanal craftsmanship. Together, we created a home where personal details, high-quality materials, and unique designs come together in a harmonious and warm environment.
